We using VAS but we don't have problems with it. @Xeno Was mir noch eingefallen ist. Wenn über der Main ein gegnerischer Jet fliegt wird er von den Gegner selbst beschossen. Was wohl daran liegt das nur die Independent derzeit einen jet haben und du eingestellt hast das diese mit den Blufor verbündet sind. Ich denke aber mal das es schwierig ist da was zu machen solange so wenig Content im Spiel ist. Geändert von Shona (12.10.2013 um 10:21 Uhr). |

Are you using the newest Version (2.0) of VAS? But i have to say we don't use the "Save Gear"-Button from Domination. |

Ok but why ask you Xares if he is using VAS because you get some error with the nomal "save layoutgear" and retrieve? Champy: "PS are you using VAS Xares? As we are experiencing some errors with save layoutgear and retrieve" And because of this i tested VAS 2.0 and the normal "save layoutgear" without an error. i don't know why you get this error and how you can resolve it |

Because i know Xares and was hoping he wasn't using vas and could tell me if he got the same error? The save issue isnt with VAs as VAS has its own save gear, this is Domination only Box. We can save load out die re spawn once with full kit that we have saved. But when you die a 3rd time, you re spawn with belt and tee shirt only? I test it later again with the Domination only Box Edit: So i don't get the error after 4-5 respawns, i only get the black screen because of VAS Edit 2: Ich hätte da eine Frage wegen den UAV's und deren respawn was kein Problem ist in dem Sinne nur das sie immer ohne Besatzung spawnen. Jetzt hab ich das hier http://forums.bistudio.com/showthrea...or-Opfor-UAV-s gefunden aber ich weiss nicht wie ich es machen soll das die genau da spawnen wo ich sie per Editor hinsetze. Achja und noch etwas wo sind die Marker für die Hellis? In Arma 2 waren sie in der i_client.sqf aber hier kann ich sie nicht finden den ich würde gerne deren Beschreibung ein wenig anpassen xD Geändert von Shona (12.10.2013 um 18:06 Uhr). |

They changed it into the following in the newest version but after the 3rd respawn i get now a blackscreen with the message "You have selected a respawn position, stand by!" and then nothing. The author of vas said i should not use the "load on respawn" which i never use. I tried to reproduce the error message from Champy so i don't touched the VAS Box Code:

I have no idea what he is talking about especially because Domina is the most modded Arma mission. Anyway, I won't invest time into finding errors/issues in third party scripts which I don't use, sorry. Xeno

So how about inventing something that would eleminate the need for VAS in domi - something that saves loadout even when server have been restarted.
With different slots for different loadouts - it would be nice. By the way - make the distance longer between the wreckheli and the wreck fixes the heli from being damaged - maybe not the best solution, but it works. |

That is why I'm made post a few page earlier about INIDB mod , I've managed to merge it with domination but half way. It saves scores into file and store it. What I need to do right now is load it back and transmit to the cilents. INIDB can save loadouts, scores, money, etc. It is installed only on server side. cheers, Xares. |

The loadouts are saved locally on a client(profile namespace) when using VAS and not on the server, that's the reason why the loadouts are still present. I can do the same and save the loadout in the profile namespace (but it needs an extra check for the ranked version). All that is fine and dandy but as soon as third party weapon addons come into play it may cause problems (manipulating the profile namespace is also quite easy, but that's another problem). Yeah, as a temporary solution this would be the best. It still doesn't change the fact that you can't turn of the fire of a burning wreck or the damage distribution of the fire. Xeno

I think Shona is a little mixed up... We are not using VAS and wont be. I have been getting errors on 3rd respawn using a vanilla Domination and with our crossover. It is entirely possible that i might have missed a file or not copied something accross. But the error get is that on respawn we loose our kit and get the error i posted. The reason why i asked Xares about VAS is to get an answer of YES or No, to see if he was getting an error to.. but Shona thought the question was related to VAS..(Thanks for trying though Shona). If no one is experiencing this then i will have to look more my end... Sorry for the confusion and the late reply, been a busy weekend here Champy |

The error in the layout script is caused by three nil variables (no idea why I forgot to remove those).
It'll be fixed in the next version (including saving to profile namespace to make the layout persistent, clear layout will remove the profile namespace variables). Xeno

Current changelog for 2.99p, not available yet.
Edit: It's so cool to find errors between thousands of "Ref to nonnetwork object 397ac080# NOID o_soldier_01.p3d" in the server RPT file... (Alpha 3 DEV version) Edit2: But it's so much cooler to waste half an hour finding one accidentally added char which breaks a 50 KB script (just a } too much or something like this #// and the script does not get compiled at all and there is no error message) Xeno

Also sidemission "steal the chopper" bugged as it spawns a kajman chopper with softhangar. Kajman choppers double rotors are so high that chopper cant be flown out of hangar. Testet with change of chopper to orca worked.
Else big hangar must be used. |
