Which script runs the respawn of the base helis? Is it helirespawn2? I do hope you can find the time and motivation to look at it again when the beta comes. If I'm honest, I'm waiting to see how this mission opens out once it's on Altis. That's when the fun REALLY starts. |

Also in 2.99e (oder doch f?) hat man immer Rauchfahne über Basis weil ein oder mehrere Coper bei Spawn explodieren -> dabei wie beim BMP-soccer ein Orbit erreichen und dann beim Runterkommen andere Coper zum explodieren bringen. Wirkt alles wie ein zu eng gesetztes Minenfeld wo dann alle hochgehen.
Hat aber einen gewissen Unterhaltungswert für den angehenden Piloten wenn er versucht mal nen Copter abzugreifen in dem Inferno.

Witzig. Das ist exakt der gleiche Code wie in OA und die Abstände sind auch ok...
Aber egal... is Sommer. Gibt wichtigeres als immer wieder gegen neue Bugs anzukämpfen Alles wird gut in Arma 4 oder 5 wenns mal kein Singleplayer Spiel mehr ist. Xeno |

I know that the parachutes are back (with a wrong animation btw).
Yet you still can't test anything with two local clients on a local dedicated server. And without that I do not invest any time into Alpha 3, err, Beta 3. Simply not possible to do real testing. Xeno |

Anyway I've updated vehicles to beta version and made halo jump working (although you need to take parachute first from ammobox), I can't make drop and enemy para working. Helis come but drop stays above the ground in the sky (eg. quadbike), no enemy paras jumping so far. I use dedicated - very strong server to host mission - 200-300AIs defend AO. my server name starts with: pawel. I'm sorry Xares, even though the issues you've mentioned are easy to solve, I won't touch A3 in the near future (maybe at release in August again, the german distributor lists August, 30th as release date). As long as the game is of such low quality and MP is not a priority for BIS I see no reason to invest time into it.

Hi Xeno, Success ! I've managed to solve those problems I've mentioned earlier. Here is the mission with working paras and drops. It is ranked version:

Xeno, quick question for ya.
Sometimes wrecked bonus vehicles are despawning before we can pick them up. I've added the AH99 Blackfoot and once or twice, that has despawned very soon after being wrecked. But then other times, it stays for hours. I've had a quick look at the code, but I think most of this magic happens in FSMs that I struggle to understand sometimes. Can you shed any light on this, please? |

Look for "Delete wrecks" (or similar) in the server params. Afair the default time is one hour after which wrecks get deleted. And afair you can also set the time to infinite or similar (really can't remember exactly, I've deleted everything related to arma from my hard drive).

Vergiss es Xeno, funktioniert nicht, ich kann mich nicht dran erinnern wie oft ich ArmA schon gelöscht habe und selbst die e-mails mit den keys. Irgendwie installiert irgendein Sack das Zeug immer wieder.

You might not be suprised to know that tuesdays dev build completely broke any 2.99f domination. server and client RPTs show lots of undefined variables, usually one that ARE defined in the description.ext. 2.99e seems to work reasonably well. |

Happens when you do things differently compared to others
I bet BIS has broken the forced field of CfgFunctions classes and those functions with "forced = 1" are either not executed at all (just compiled like normal CfgFunctions classes) or executed too late. Or maybe CfgFunctions class from description.ext gets completely ignored now, no idea. (The global variables are created from description.ext class params on the fly in a forced CfgFunctions file). But I won't download Alpha 3 again to check. Things like these are also a reason why I have no interest in this mess anymore. Edit: Check if you find something like "Executing Dom preinit" or similar in the RPT file. If not then what I've described above is happening. Xeno Geändert von Xeno (11.07.2013 um 08:14 Uhr). |
