Charlie Foxtrot - Virtual War geht in die 6. Kampagne.

Jeden Sonntag treffen sich bis zu 120 Spieler aus allen möglichen Länder zur großangelegten Schlacht zweier Armeen. Nach einer bestimmten Anzahl an Schlachten geht eine Armee als Sieger hervor. Z.z. sind die Anwerbungsbüro für die Armeen wieder neu geöffnet.
Man kann einmal pro Kampagne wählen auf welcher Seite man Spielen will (Riverstone Inc. - westliches Equipment oder Shaska International - russisches Equipment) oder sich auf sein Glückverlassen (**** Join Your Army Here (PvP Virtual War Tournament) ****)

Gekämpft wird über bestimmte Zonen der Regionen in denen Punkte gesamelt werden (nähere Informationen unter Charlie Foxtrot FAQ | Charlie Foxtrot: Virtual War).
Charlie Foxtrot benutzt keine Kill Message, Third person view oder leader board.

Nach dem Ausflug von vor zwei Kampagne nach Takistan sind wir für die kommenden Schlachten wieder zurück in den grünen Wälder und Weiden von Chernarus.

Die Server sitzen in Holland, mein Ping ist um die 15ms (NRW).
Ja es gibt Respawn für die Soldaten, aber für Fahrzeuge gibt es ein Recovery System.
Sie respawnen erst, wen man mit dem Ingenieur-Slot + bestimmtes Fahrzeug bis auf 15m an das Wrack herangekommen ist.

Das System, mach dem die Punkte verteilt werden, ändert sich von Campaigne zu Campaigne.

Z.z. gilt:
Es gibt ein Commando Vehicle (CV; LAV), welches in eine bestimmtes Gebiet gebracht werden muss. 30 Minuten nachdem Start, wird alle 5 min. abgefragt, ob das CV im Gebiet ist.
Befindet es sich im Gebiet, gibt es 2 Punkte.
Zusätzlich gibt es noch 3 Support Vehicle (SV; Fuel-, Repair-, Ammo-Truck) welche in einen Radius von 300m um das CV gebracht werden muss, um zusätzliche Punkte (jeweils 1 pro SV) zubekommen.

Zusammenfassung: Verteidige dein CV und zerstöre das gegnerische CV und blockiere deren Weg zurück zur Scoring Zone.

The separatists backed by Shaska International have once again launched an effort to take over the country from what they are calling an oppressive, fascist government. River Stone International has also been recalled to the theatre in defense of the sitting democratic government and is currently ramping up security at all government facilities.

Both sides landed here last week and have wasted little time engaging each other, however both groups suffered catastrophic failures of their battlefield information networks thus leaving them both blind and uncoordinated. Until their battle nets come back on line we can expect small scale skirmishes to continue over the next few days. Both commanders are optimistic they will be able to achieve the goals of their employers and morale on both sides seems up after grueling battles in southern Africa and Takistan have seen both sides trade narrow victories.
It is curious to note that both sides seem to have packed lighter for this operation, instead of the usual heavy tanks and infantry fighting vehicles, they have opted to use the Jones doctrine, that faster and lighter is better, thus they are using APC’s in conjunction with mechanized infantry. While some will argue this is due to budget constraints others feel it is in reaction to UN resolution 78425 which calls for the recovery of all PMC land and aircraft wreckages from the field. It is much easier to salvage an APC than a heavy tank. The UN has billed this as a way to avoid the vehicle grave yards seen throughout Takistan that have marred much of their countryside, the resolutions detractors bill it as a way to keep smaller PMC’s from joining conflicts since they cannot afford full scale salvage operations.

The Cherno-russians have their own take on the conflict restarting, Pavlov Krevchenko had this to say “The Americans and the Russians both need to go home, this is our war and we would prefer to fight it ourselves.” Another citizen, Warr Gamerovich, whose house destroyed in the last conflict, had this to say “In the last war my house was destroyed, my garden was destroyed, they stole my bicycle and they killed my dog! Now they come back for more? What more can I give? The first mercenary to come onto my property will be shot on sight!” A stern warning from an angry citizen and these warnings are being echoed throughout the region. How long will the citizens tolerate this conflict has yet to be seen but if the last conflict was any indicator they will readily take arms to defend their families and neighbors.
