Hallo

wollte mal wissen was hir fuer firewall benutzt
was ihr mir empfehlen koennt
und es sollte auch kostenlos und einfach sein

ich habe vorher zonelabs benutzt
aber jetz nach einem update, irgendwie
kaputt gegangen.
laesst sich auch nicht mehr neu installieren

vsmon.exe - komponente nicht gefunden
zpy.dll konnte nicht gefunden werden

die meldung kommt 2x mal hintereinander
dann versucht ers zu installieren
sagt aber dann das ich den true-vector dients
mauell ausschalten soll da der setup es nicht
konnte und bricht ab.

nunja als ich das uptade installierte und neugestartet habe
war der login ziehmlich langsam (benutze xp)
und es wurde nur die haelfte gestartet.
sprich von ca 40 proessen nur 25.
die taskleiste funktionierte nicht mehr.
runter gefahren und neugestartet.
zonelabs wollte nicht mehr starten, also habe
ich es deinstalliert und dann kam der der fehler
oben beschrieben.

das heißt bekomm ich den fehler nciht weg,
werde ich mir wohl ein andere firewall zulegen muessen
fand aber zonelabs einfach ...

einfach eine fachzeitschrift aufschalgen und den bestplatzierten nehmen.

Ich hab von ZoneLabs, die ZoneAlarm Suite Firewall und bin bisher mehr als zufrieden!

will ich ja zonealarm behalten
aber es laesst sich einfach nicht mehr installieren ...

diese version nw die pro version testweise hatte ich installiert
nach dem update. vor dem update hatte ich die normale version

erst kommt diese fehlermeldung 2x mal hintereinander mit einer pasue dazwischen

Also hattest du erst die Basicedition und die wolltest du "testweise" auf die Pro upgraden... hab ich dich da so richtig verstanden?

War es eine 30 Tage Testversion von ZoneAlarm Pro oder hattest du sie dir bei ZoneLabs gekauft?

Ich persönlich kenne diese Fehlermeldung nicht aber vieleicht komm ich noch dahinter was los ist.

also ich habe die kostenlose version
und nur die firewall

dann kam ein update und gleichzeitig konnte
ich dann auch testweise fuer 30 tage auf pro
upraden
also habe ich das mal gemacht und nach dem neustart
(die install wollte eins) lief es so
wie ich oben beschrieben hatte

also deinstalliert und nun gehts nicht mehr

Das Ganze kling sehr danach, es ob sich bei der Installation der Pro einige Dateien nicht vertragen würden oder sie sich einfach nur verlaufen hätten. :komisch:

Hast du schon deinstallieren versucht und dann noch mal neu zu installieren? Also alles ZoneAlarm deinstallieren, alle Ordner von ZoneLabs von der Platte schmeißen und die Registry säubern?

jep habe ich aber es bringt nichts irgendwie
und er sagt ja das ihm eine datei fehlt "zpy.dll"
kann vll mal jemand danach suchen, was das ist?

denn die fehlt ihm ja anscheinend und dann weiß ich auch
nicht was er mit der 2. meldung meint mit dem "true-vector dienst"

naja ich werde jetz erstmal im urlaub sein
ich melde mcih danach wieder, freue mich dennoch
schonmal ueber antworten und moeglichen hilfen

In order to completely remove Zone Alarm from your system, please do
the following. If any of the steps below do not apply to you, or you
are unable to perform the function listed, CONTINUE ON to the next
step.

If you plan to reinstall, then before starting, please be sure to
download the latest version. Note that a current valid license key
is required to download ZoneAlarm:

1. Open the ZoneAlarm Pro/Plus program, go to the OVERVIEW ->
PREFERENCES tab, and make sure the Load At Startup box is UNchecked.
Close the program, then right-click on the ZA icon and select
Shutdown. Wait 2 minutes before going on.

2. REBOOT.

3. You should now have no ZoneAlarm processes running on your system.

4. Now click Start -> Programs -> Zone Labs -> Uninstall. Be sure to
say YES to the security check.

WARNING - Do NOT run the ZoneAlarm Uninstall program while in Safe
Mode. The program may not be able to make the proper registry
changes in Safe Mode, thus generating errors after a reboot.

5. REBOOT.

6. To make sure that you can see the ZA+/ZAP system files, if they
are still on your computer:

a. Right-click on Start, then left-click on Explore. When the
Windows Explorer panel appears:
- In Windows 98SE: Click View -> Options (in Windows 98, this will
be called "Folder Options"). Click the "View" tab, then click
the "Show all files" radio button.
- In Windows ME, XP, 2000: Click Tools -> Folder Options. Click
the "View" tab, then click the "Show hidden files and folders" radio
button.

b. Make sure you also UNcheck the box to "Hide Protected Operating
System Files" if you have one.

c. When searching, be sure it searches ALL hidden files and folders.

d. Click OK.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Making modifications to system files may disable
crucial functions of your Windows operating system. We strongly
suggest re-enabling the "Hide files and folders" feature once all
ZoneAlarm files have been removed. See the following web page, and
verify that the files and folders are removed:

7. Click on Start, then Search or Find, and select Files. Make sure
that the location box is set to search your local hard drive
(usually C or All Local Drives. XP users, set advanced search
options to search ALL files and folders!

Type the following exactly - delete any folders found:

zonelabs
“zone labs�
“Internet logs�

Type the following exactly - delete any files found in Windows or
any subfolder below it, or in your Temp folder):

vsdata.dll
vsdata95.vxd
vsdatant.sys
vsmon.*
vsmonapi.dll
vsnetutils.dll
vspubapi.dll
zaplus.*
zapro.*
zlparser.dll
zonealarm.exe
zoneband.dll
vsinit.dll
vsutil.dll (please right-click, Properties -> Version to be sure it
is a ZA file. Do NOT delete this file unless it is a Zone Labs file!)

GLB*.* (delete any of these that you find in any of your TMP or
TEMP folders)

Type the following exactly - delete any files found in any folder
with "Programs" in the pathname):

zapro
zonealarm
"zonealarm pro" (including quotes)

8. Make sure your Recycle Bin is empty (right-click and select
Empty).

9. REBOOT

NOTE: If you received an error message upon deleting the files, or
if the original programs remain in the Programs list, or if the
problem persists after this, removing the files in Safe Mode will
allow you to delete the files properly. Click Start, Help, and
search for "SAFE MODE" for information specific to your system.

Mit dieser Anleitung sollte es geklappen - aber ist ja ne Heidenarbeit, die mit ner Menge Aufwand verbunden ist.

es scheint doch einfacher zu sein als es aussieht:
habe nach vsmon* gesucht
geloescht und nun konnte ich wieder neu installieren

-> Problem geloest !
