If it won't change then there'll be no players left in a few weeks. Nobody will care about the singleplayer campaign after it will be fully released. But people will still play MP months after that.
I've joined a PvP only server yesterday to check how MP performance is without AI, 48 players, but vehicles teleported x meters forth and back and when a player ejected from a vehicle the same happened, the player was moved in front and behind the vehicle. Let alone that everything else was lagging as hell (not used to that when I play another game with 64 players). (Could be of course the mission or the server but I doubt that a simple PvP mission can be so resource hungry that it fucks up everything, and even if it was the mission, there are no tools to determine what's the problem is).
