Bin eben über dieses Addon gestolpert, klingt recht interessant.
Das Addon soll angeblich bessere FPS, weniger LOD-Switching und besseren visuellen Look für Vegetation und Gebäude bringen.
Jetzt wollte ich fragen, kennt das wer?
Whats is it?
ArmA II vegetation is unfortunately not well done in various aspects:
* LOD switching: While moving the shape of the vegetation changes very noticeable (resolution LODs).
* Different coloring: Even more also the coloring changes in the different forms of the models (mipmaps).
* FPS impact: The vegetation has a big impact on FPS, while the very extreme details can hardly been
seen and is not perceived while playing anyway.
The overall goal is better FPS, less LOD switching and better visual look for ArmA II vegetation!
ArmA II buildings seem to be one cause of trouble:
* LOD switching: While moving the shape of the buildings changes noticeable (resolution LODs).
* FPS impact: The buildings seem to have a big impact on FPS, while is not perceived while playing anyway.
* Mini freezes: While flying, at times you experience mini halts of the game. This may be related
to the resolution LODs or mipmap changes.
The overall goal is better FPS, less LOD switching and better visual look for ArmA II buildings!
