My German is not good at all, but i guess the first remark is a joke?
Just to make sure: I don't work for Codemasters nor BIS, I'm just a fan of the OFP/Arma series and try to fill in a hole in the addon world.

Stricktly speaking my tool could be a security risk, but I think that's exactly one of the reasons a company like BIS doesn't make it. Also I bet you and most people have tons of more tools installed that could be far more risky. If you want to be on the safe side: make a user account without administrative priviliges. My tool should still work, maybe not all of it, but it mostly should.

On the .Net security risk side: name me one programming language/environment that DOES NOT imply security risks. Java doesn't cut it, hell even friggin JavaScript is a security risk. Running ANY exe on a pc connected to the internet implies a security risk.
I just want to let you know that my goal is not to create some illustre botnet (there are better ways to achieve that...), my goal is to get people playing Arma with addons without hassle. If you are truely worried about security, then do not surf to this forum with any browser that is able to display images, accepts cookies, or accepts plugins.
Of course you are correct: it IS a security risk, but so is online gameing, crossing your street, or simply living (yes yes there are a lot of objects out there in space that may drop on our heads).

The interface is not perfect, but it does the trick and got a lot better with the AddonSync2009 beta's compared to the older version.

Have a nice day
